OpenAI Launches GPT-4
Since the launch of ChatGPT, GPT-4 has been the most anticipated product with tweets like this one. You've been drooling 🤤 for it too, don't lie.
@nhutter28 Here is a scary look at where we are vs the knowledge GPT 4 will have.

Yesterday it went live, and people are not wasting time testing out its capabilities.
@skirano built Pong in 60 seconds. Bet the original creators won't be loving this. An AI recreates their life work in 60 seconds.
I don’t care that it’s not AGI, GPT-4 is an incredible and transformative technology.
I recreated the game of Pong in under 60 seconds.
It was my first try.Things will never be the same. #gpt4

Want to find a vulnerability in a smart contract? GPT-4 is on it. Check out @jconorgrogan's work.
I dumped a live Ethereum contract into GPT-4.
In an instant, it highlighted a number of security vulnerabilities and pointed out surface areas where the contract could be exploited. It then verified a specific way I could exploit the contract

Here's another game...
Can GPT-4 code an entire game for you? Yes, yes it can.
Here's how I recreated a Snake game that runs in your browser using Chat GPT-4 and @Replit, with ZERO knowledge of Javascript all in less than 20 mins 🧵

Alright, you get the gist. The tool is a beast, so let's get to the dry stuff you should know.
What we know
- GPT-4 can handle both text and images, while GPT-3.5 (ChatGPT's model) only works with text. The other difference is GPT-4 outshines GPT-3.5 when tasks get more complex.
- The tool can caption and interpret complex images, like identifying a specific cable from a picture. Although this feature is not yet available to us mere mortals, Be My Eyes is testing it with their Virtual Volunteer feature that can answer questions about images and give helpful suggestions.
- It performs at a "human level" on various benchmarks (e.g., it can score well on a simulated bar exam). Their website shows it scores 90th and 99th percentile in 2 human tests - broken.
- GPT-4 comes with "system" messages, allowing developers to give specific directions for the AI's style and task.
- Right now, it is available to paying ChatGPT users, while developers can sign up on a waitlist for API access. It costs $0.03 per 1,000 "prompt" tokens and $0.06 per 1,000 "completion" tokens (tokens are like bits of words).
Let's leave you with this.
GPT4 is capable of turning a picture of a napkin sketch to a fully functioning html/css/javascript website.

Meta drops NFT support on Facebook and Instagram
Meta had to contend with the innovator's dilemma (trade-off between catering to existing customers' needs and embracing disruptive technologies) this week, and the existing business won.
In a tweet on March 13, Stephane Kasriel, Meta's head of commerce and financial technologies, announced that the company is winding down its NFT support on Facebook and Instagram.
Some product news: across the company, we're looking closely at what we prioritize to increase our focus. We’re winding down digital collectibles (NFTs) for now to focus on other ways to support creators, people, and businesses. 🧵[1/5]
